Fall in Boothbay Harbor

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

October Blowing in the Wind is appropriate.  The leaves have turned colors and the northerly winds have appeared in Boothbay Harbor.  It seems the fine summer has come to an end.  September and October was a busy time at Riley Marine.  In addition to supplying some classic models for holiday gifts, four new models were added namely the 28’ Stuart Knockabout, Marshall 22 catboat, Lowell 36 lobster boat and the largest model to date the Flying Cloud.  The Flying Cloud shown in the photo is approximately 29 inches long.  In a final push for this fall, I plan to finish a couple of Rozinantes.  Most of these are available upon request.  Some may be added to the In Stock model collection.

Toward the middle of November, my wife and I will be heading to Key Largo, Florida for a while.  Not many chips will be flying during the winter.  If you see any classic models on the website, we may still be able to get them to you for the holidays.   Over the winter, I plan to work on model designs for five or six more classic boats.  If you have any suggestions, please pass them on.  Although I do not build all that are suggested, I do consider those for which I receive multiple requests.

Orders for In Stock models will be accepted until November 5, 2010.  It is unlikely that any more will be shipped until April, but please inquire.
